Privacy Policy
Zappalog LLC (“Zappalog”) collects certain information through its website located at www.zappalog.com (the “Site”). Your privacy is important to Zappalog and this Privacy Policy lays out Zappalog’s policies and procedures surrounding the collection and handling of such information. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Site. It does not apply to any Merchant (as defined in the Terms of Use) website, other third party services linked to the Site or offline activities related to Zappalog services.
A. Information Zappalog Collects Zappalog may collect the following information from users of our Site: first name, last name, date of birth, gender, occupation, street address, city, state, zip code, cross streets, phone number, e-mail address, Site-specific display name and credit card information (collectively, “Personally Identifiable Information” or “PII”). Zappalog is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 and Zappalog does not knowingly collect PII from children under the age of 13.
In addition, Zappalog may collect information regarding Zappalog account holders’ Zappalog preferences, product categories of interest, favorite products, customer service inquiries, product/Merchant reviews and certain social networking preferences (e.g. pages you “Like” or “Share”).
Zappalog also uses web analytics software to track and analyze traffic on the Site in connection with Zappalog’s advertising and promotion of Zappalog services. Zappalog may publish these statistics or share them with third parties without including PII.
B. Zappalog’s Use Of Collected Information Zappalog uses PII to create users’ Zappalog accounts, to communicate with users about Zappalog services, to offer users additional services, promotions and special offers. Users may affirmatively opt-out of receiving promotional communications from Zappalog by visiting www.Zappalog.com and providing Zappalog with their e-mail address via the opt-out link. Zappalog may also use PII to enforce Zappalog Terms of Use.
Zappalog uses cookies to remember users on the Site and to enhance users’ experience on the Site. For example, when users with Zappalog accounts return to the Site, cookies identify those users and allow the Site to provide certain user-specific information such as Zappalog account information and Site preferences.
Zappalog does not sell the information it collects to third parties. Zappalog shares collected PII with service providers with whom Zappalog works to provide functions for the Site. Zappalog may also disclose PII to third parties such as attorneys, collection agencies, tribunals or law enforcement authorities pursuant to valid requests in connection with alleged violations of Zappalog Terms of Use or other alleged contract violations, infringement or similar harm to persons or property.
User generated content posted through the Site such as product/Merchant reviews and certain social networking preferences (e.g. pages you “Like” or “Share”) may be viewed by the general public. Accordingly, Zappalog cannot ensure the privacy of any PII included in such user generated content.
C. Zappalog’s Protection of PII Zappalog uses reasonable security measures equal to or exceeding industry standard to protect PII from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification and disclosure. Unfortunately, even with these measures, Zappalog cannot guarantee the security of PII. By using the Site, you acknowledge and agree that Zappalog makes no such guarantee, and that you use the Site at your own risk.
D. Accessing and Correcting Your PII Registered Zappalog account holders can access and change their own PII using the “Profile” function on the Site. If you have questions regarding Zappalog’s use or collection of your PII, please contact Zappalog’s privacy officer at: info@zappalog.com.
E. Privacy Policy Amendments Zappalog may change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a new version on this pager or on a successor page. The new version will become effective on the posting date, which will be listed at the top of the page as the effective date.
